As I exited my apartment building this morning I was greeted by the blinding sun piercing over the tops of the evergreen trees, as I made my way back to sight a frost bitten ground was revealed to my dismay. I headed to my car, watching my breath leave my mouth as a result of my moisture filled air condensing into fog from the cold air. I made it to my car to find that, it too, was covered in a thin layer of frost that needed to be scrapped off. On my 1 mile journey to work, I saw a boy clad in shorts and a vest, walking to a nearby middle school and thought, “do parents care about their children anymore?”
This weekend looks like it’s going to be nice, which is great, because August has not had many good weekends. I am planning on heading down to the coast of Maine to see the foliage; it is supposedly at peak right now. If I do go, I will be sure to post about it tomorrow with some photos.
